Meet Our DogsMore Than a Breed.
A Higher Standard.
At Pegasus Great Danes, we are a dedicated preservation breeder committed to protecting and advancing the integrity of the Great Dane breed.
With more than 26 years of hands-on experience, the program has produced over 20 AKC champions, earned AKC Breeder of Merit recognition, and won at the Great Dane Club of America National Specialty. We are proud members of the Great Dane Club of America and the Heart of Texas Great Dane Club.

A proven legacy
Angus to Nox
October 2016, our first Great Dane Club of America National Specialty. A Pegasus sire and his son both came home winners under breeder-judge Jack Watts.
From the breeder
Six generations, one family.
“Pegasus Great Danes was my little dream when I started showing Danes in 2007. Since then it has grown to six generations of Great Danes, representing the breed standard. Although I strive to produce show-quality Danes, all of them live their best lives with their humans, on their sofa.”
We compete in AKC conformation, IABCA, agility and therapy work, and stay active in the breed through the Great Dane Club of America and the Heart of Texas Great Dane Club.
Our program and historyHow we breed
Every litter is planned around health, temperament and type.
Health first
Breeding dogs are health tested through OFA and CHIC before they are paired.
Health testing →Raised for the world
Every puppy goes through the Puppy Culture program and our own Pegasus Puppy Program before going home.
How puppies are raised →Proven in the ring
More than 20 AKC champions and wins at the Great Dane Club of America National Specialty.
Results →Family for life
Homes are chosen through an application and interview, and every Pegasus Dane can come back to us for life if its home can no longer keep it.
Placement →Puppies

Life with a Pegasus Dane
Champions on the weekend. Companions every day.
Tonka has worked as a therapy dog in schools, courtrooms and hospitals. Thanos finished his championship in four weeks of showing and now helps his owner through sickle cell pain crises. That steadiness starts in the whelping box.
